The result of the workshop on the island of Lake Indraja (Utena district) reveals the creativity of our society and its aspirations to cherish natural and cultural values. “Island of Love” is the name of the project to develop the recreational resources of the island in Lake Indraja, which is now in its second year.
The island, owned by a dozen creative private individuals, where farmers used to graze their animals and smoke the fish they caught there, is being humanised and will be used in the future as a gathering place for artists and people with a cultural interest. The young architects’ visions include a floating platform with a love house, temporary housing and other recreational structures.
