An old ash tree collapsed and completely destroyed the roof of a house in the ethnographic village of Gabrijonai. Fortunately, the owner of the house, Vytautas, is alive and well. However, he is almost homeless.
The wooden architecture of the ethnographic village is truly unique, and Vytautas has been conscious of it and has always preserved the authenticity of his homestead. Both Vytautas venerable age, his love for his homestead and the extremely painful consequences of the disaster made us look for all the ways in which we can still do something to help. We believed that together we could bring Vytautas back to a safe, dry and restored home.
It was an amazing little victory for the community – within a couple of days Vytautas house was already in order ❤️
